MVP Sports LLC is incredibly happy and proud to be back open as the pandemic continues to linger. All visitors have been doing an excellent job of protecting others by wearing face masks. This will be a common occurrence and mandatory for entrance into the building until the threat of disease spread has subdued and local authorities no longer require masks.
MVP Sports LLC will be strictly enforcing the unauthorized use of handicap parking spaces in the front of the building effective immediately. Any vehicles parked in any of the handicap spaces without proper placarding will be ticketed by the Des Moines Police Department. License plate data will be collected, and repeat offenders will not only receive a ticket, but will also be towed at the owner’s expense.
These drastic measures are necessary as MVP Sports has had several complaints about the misuse of these parking spots that are legally reserved for people that really need them and have the proper medical placards to rightfully park in these spots.
Please help solve this issue so all visitors can enjoy youth and adult sports in an accessible and comfortable manner.

MVP SPORTS LLC COVID-19 AND HOLIDAY UPDATE
SPACE STILL AVAILABLE!
Governor Kim Reynolds revised the current Covid-19 proclamation yesterday during her press conference and loosed the mitigation on all youth and adult sports. This is great news for area athletes and coaches as they can now continue their pursuit of bettering the skills of athletes in their chosen sport.
As of tomorrow, December 11, 2020, all youth and adult sports activities can resume within our building. These include practices, scrimmages, events, leagues, tournaments, and lessons.
Face masks must be worn by all who enter MVP Sports, LLC. This is a REQUIREMENT TO ENTER and not a suggestion. MVP Sports will always have more than 15 people in the building at one time so wearing of a mask is crucial to protect the well-being of our guests and staff. Athletes may remove their masks only after reporting to their designated court or space and practice is starting. Coaches must wear masks at all times. Athletes must put their masks back on when the practice is over while they walk through to exit the building.
Social distancing is still in place.
Only two spectators per athlete will be allowed in the building.
With all of the uncertainty in the early and late fall, many teams were hesitant to book space so MVP Sports still has court and turf space available at the venue. Space is still available for all sports during the cold winter months so please reach out if you’re having trouble finding space for your team or club. Lots of space is available between Christmas and New Year’s if a team wants to come in during the day to make up lost practice time. Contact Bill McCool at 515-282-2768 (business), on his cell at 563-929-0231 (call or text), or via email at email@example.com (preferred method).
MVP Sports, LLC has extended its hours until 11:00 pm 7 days a week (9:00 am to 11:00 pm) to accommodate new patrons. MVP will be closed December 24th, 25th, 31st, 2020 and January 1, 2021.
Please check with MVP for all of your practice or scrimmage needs. We would love to serve you!
Proclamation – Nov. 19, 2020
Yesterday, Governor Kim Reynolds, modified the recent proclamation for Covid-19 mitigation efforts that impact operations at MVP Sports, LLC at 4600 Park Ave in Des Moines, Iowa. With your help, the business can REOPEN to provide exercise and training for youth sports as long as social distancing of six feet between all athletes and coaches is maintained and enforced. All games, scrimmages, or sports where social distancing of six feet is unavoidable are still prohibited. The entire press release is listed below:
Gov. Reynolds signs new proclamation modifying public health measures
DES MOINES – Today, Gov. Reynolds signed a new Public Health Disaster proclamation that modifies existing public health measures to provide clarity and simplify the measures applicable to recreational activities and fitness centers.
Except for high school, collegiate, or professional sporting or recreational gatherings, the proclamation only permits sporting and recreational activities when all participants in the gathering—including athletes, coaches, or instructors—maintain six feet of physical distance at all times. Activities where closer contact is required or reasonably unavoidable, such as a wrestling meet or basketball game, are prohibited. Spectators are also limited at all gatherings to two per athlete and must be social distanced six feet apart. And all participants, except for athletes, must wear masks. These requirements also apply to group classes or activities at fitness centers and gyms.
The proclamation does not change any measures in place for high school-sponsored, collegiate, or professional sporting or recreational activities. High school sports and extracurricular activities continue to be permitted, even where close contact may occur. But spectators at games or events are limited to two per student and are required to wear a mask.
The proclamation is effective immediately and continues to expire on December 10, 2020.
All visitors, spectators, coaches, athletes, and sales personnel must enter the building wearing a mask over their nose and mouths. This measure will be strictly enforced and anyone not wearing a mask will not be permitted into the turf or gymnasium area.
While in the building, all patrons, visitors, and spectators are to socially distance at least 6 feet from one another, unless from the same household, with their masks on. Once an athlete is on their assigned space, the athlete may remove his/her mask for the duration of the practice or game. All coaches must continue to wear their masks while coaching or performing their assigned duties.
Additionally, a limit of two visitors/spectators per athlete will be allowed into the building. With 50,000 square feet of space, there is ample area for spectators to socially distance from one another with the limited amount of people allowed into the building.
Please help be a part of the solution to reducing the spread of the coronavirus and to help MVP Sports stay open, so we may continue to provide services and rental space for all area sports athletes and teams.
Your cooperation and help are greatly appreciated!

Proclamation Nov. 11, 2020
Yesterday, Governor Kim Reynolds, set new proclamations through November 30th, 2020 for Covid-19 spread prevention that impacts operations at MVP Sports, LLC at 4600 Park Ave in Des Moines, Iowa. While these proclamations increase measures to help stop the spread of the virus in the general public, with your help, the business can remain open and provide exercise and entertainment for youth and adult sports.
Starting today, all employees, visitors, spectators, coaches, referees, umpires, athletes, and sales personnel must enter the building wearing a mask over their nose and mouths. This is due to the fact that the building will most always hold more than 25 people at one time.
All coaches, referees, and umpires must continue to wear their masks while coaching or performing their assigned duties.
Additionally, a limit of two visitors/spectators per athlete will be allowed into the building to help hold down each room’s capacity to approximately 50%. With 50,000 square feet of space, there is ample area for spectators to socially distance from one another with the limited amount of people allowed into the building.
Please help be a part of the solution of reducing the spread of the coronavirus and to help MVP Sports remain open during the pandemic, so we may continue to provide our services and rental space for all area sports athletes and teams.
Your cooperation and help are greatly appreciated! We love serving the sports community!
